WHY CLEARSILK?

ClearSilk by Sciton is a great introductory laser, ideal for first-time clients or those looking to enhance their treatment plan for a healthy complexion without the downtime of more aggressive resurfacing procedures. This non-ablative laser reduces flushing, blushing, and rosacea symptoms, revealing brighter, healthier skin with each session. ClearSilk is quickly becoming our go-to option for year-round skin correction and maintenance!

At Michigan State University, our medical aestheticians perform thousands of Sciton laser treatments each year and are among the top performing practices in Michigan by volume of treatments. As a Sciton Distinguished Partner and Dual Joule Elite Provider, MSU Aesthetics & Laser Treatment Center has attained multiple recognition awards by Sciton, our primary device platform and leader in energy-based medical aesthetics.

Your skin is unique, and your treatment plan should be, too. ClearSilk can be part of a fully customized ScitonStax approach, where multiple Sciton technologies are layered together to target your exact concerns and deliver optimal results. BroadBand Light (BBL HERO, Forever Young, and Forever Clear), and ClearV, (Sciton’s gold-standard vascular solution), are popular choices when optimizing ScitonStax services. Together, these technologies address deeper concerns, including persistent redness, stubborn vessels, and inflammation. Talk to your provider on how ClearSilk can set you apart from traditional Sciton lasers or compliment your existing treatment plan.

HOW DOES CLEARSILK WORK?

ClearSilk utilizes a non-ablative 1064 Nd:YAG laser, a wavelength known for its ability to safely and effectively penetrate the mid-dermis without damaging the surface. This wavelength targets water at its chromophore, allowing for controlled bulk heating of the dermis. As the tissue gently warms, it triggers a cascade of cellular responses, including fibroblast activation and neocollagenesis (new collagen formation), leading to gradual improvement of skin texture, tone, and overall health.
