HOW DOES JUVEDERM WORK?

The JUVÉDERM collection contains a modified form of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) to restore volume and elasticity to the area being treated. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a sugar naturally produced by the body that retains moisture in the skin. The main ingredient in JUVÉDERM fillers is a modified form of HA, designed to temporarily restore volume loss in certain areas of the face and help provide long-lasting, natural-looking results.

During treatment, a JUVÉDERM filler is injected into the treatment area by a licensed specialist using a needle or cannula. Results with JUVÉDERM fillers are not permanent, and retreatment is usually needed to maintain your results. In addition, if you are not fully satisfied with your results, JUVÉDERM filler can be completely dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This enzyme breaks down the hyaluronic acid within one to two visits.
